An award-winning community activist, educator, and champion for social change, he has dedicated his life to empowering the people of Manchester—particularly its younger generations—by creating tangible opportunities for growth, well-being, and success.
His journey into community work began in 2007, following the tragic loss of a close friend to gun crime. Determined to build a better future for his city, Mr. Mundell BEM established a series of transformative initiatives that continue to make a lasting impact today. From Manchester Job Opportunities—a free employment forum that has helped over 650 individuals secure full-time work —to Manchester’s Got Talent, an annual showcase celebrating local talent, his projects foster hope, connection, and ambition. His Ambassador Trips bring together people of all ages to strengthen community bonds, while his Meals on Wheels programme delivers warm Caribbean meals to elderly residents every Saturday, ensuring that care and kindness reach those who need it most.
Beyond his activism, Mr. Mundell BEM has built a distinguished career in education, becoming Assistant Principal in his late 20s—a testament to his leadership and impact at a young age. With 15 years of experience across both primary and secondary education, he now leads Personal Development, Education with Character & PSHE, shaping school culture with a deep focus on well-being, opportunity, and student success. A passionate advocate for mental health, he is committed to ensuring that every student, family, and staff member receives the support they need to thrive.
Recognised with a BEM (British Empire Medal) for his outstanding contributions to the community and awarded Honorary Alumni Fellow of The University of Bolton, Mr. Mundell BEM continues to shape lives, proving that grassroots activism, education, and a deep commitment to others can drive meaningful, lasting change.
