Dr Anuradha Rani Uppaluri’s story is one of purpose reshaped.
Trained as a dentist, her life took a new direction when her son was diagnosed with autism. That experience deepened her focus and led her into a different kind of leadership: as a full-time carer, advocate, and community organiser committed to support, inclusion, and awareness.
For over a decade, Dr AnuradhaRani Uppaluri has raised awareness of autism through consistent and compassionate action. Her annual fundraising events, held every April, have raised nearly £30,000 for autism-focused charities across the UK. This work is not about headlines—it’s about helping families feel seen, supported, and connected.
In 2024, Dr AnuradhaRani Uppaluri founded Bridging Brains CIC, a non-profit organisation created by mothers for families of children with special needs. Through respite care, wellbeing sessions, music, movement, arts, and inclusive outings, Bridging Brains offers something rare: a space where families can simply be—without explanation, apology, or exclusion.
Dr AnuradhaRani Uppaluri’s impact has been recognised through numerous honours, including a Lifetime Achievement Award, the Disability Champion Award, and the 2025 British Citizen Award—presented at the Palace of Westminster in recognition of her civic contribution to society.
Alongside these accolades, Dr AnuradhaRani Uppaluri continues to bring people together: to share stories, build community, and create moments of joy and rest for families who often go without both. Her work is practical, heartfelt, and deeply human.
With gentleness and determination, Dr AnuradhaRani Uppaluri continues to build a community where every child and every parent is valued—where care is shared, and strength is found together.
