Jonathan Berry is a changemaker who proves that kindness is not just a virtue but a powerful force for change. As the founder of The Kindness Forecast, Jonathan is redefining the way we think about generosity—turning simple acts of kindness into a movement that creates tangible impact. Jonathan’s work is a testament to Manchester’s spirit: bold, innovative, and driven by a deep commitment to people and planet.
Jonathan’s own story is one of survival and gratitude. Born 11 weeks prematurely and given less than a 20% chance of survival, Jonathan owes his life to the skill and care of the medical team at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Birmingham. That experience instilled in Jonathan an unwavering belief that kindness is not passive—it is active, urgent, and world-changing.
In 2024, Jonathan launched The Kindness Forecast, a self-funded social experiment testing the ripple effects of generosity. The initiative spans a wide range of impact—from anonymous coffee gifting to funding climate education for children and supporting young activists in getting their voices heard. By covering travel costs for those fighting for environmental change, providing pay-it-forward access to conferences and workshops, and spreading appreciation through handwritten thank-you notes, Jonathan proves that even the smallest acts of generosity can unlock opportunities and transform lives.
Jonathan’s commitment to impact extends beyond philanthropy. As Co-Founder and Managing Director of Tyler Grange, a certified B Corp, Jonathan leads with ethics at the core—championing a four-day workweek, full pay transparency, and a culture that values people as much as profit. Jonathan’s work as a trustee of Awesome CiC and a certified facilitator of LEGO® Serious Play® reflects a belief in creative, accessible solutions to social and environmental challenges.
Jonathan demonstrates that kindness is not just an abstract concept but a tool for action. Jonathan proves that generosity can be embedded in business, education, and activism, reshaping industries and communities alike. Through leadership and innovation, Jonathan is showing that small, intentional acts of kindness have the power to create lasting change.
