Rosie Ginday MBE has always believed that beauty and change can co-exist—that something exquisite and delicate, like a handmade macaroon, can hold the power to change the course of someone’s life.
As founder and CEO of Miss Macaroon, Rosie Ginday MBE created a patisserie unlike any other: a luxury brand with social transformation baked in. Every macaroon sold helps fund training, employment, and confidence-building for young people who have faced long-term unemployment, trauma, or systemic exclusion. From women’s refuges to probation services, care homes to job centres, Rosie Ginday MBE has built bridges between the margins and the mainstream—offering not charity, but opportunity.
Rosie Ginday MBE is not only a trained pastry chef, but also a social entrepreneur who sees potential where others see problems. Through the MacsMAD (Macaroons that Make A Difference) programme, Rosie Ginday MBE and her talented team of training delivery professionals, bakers, psychotherapists and counsellors have worked with hundreds of young people, helping them gain qualifications, workplace skills, build their mental wellbeing and find a renewed sense of self. The results are visible—in transformed CVs, in job placements, and in the confidence of graduates who have gone on to thrive in industries that once felt closed to them.
Alongside her work at Miss Macaroon, Rosie Ginday MBE serves on the board of Better Society Capital, shaping the future of social investment in the UK. During the COVID-19 pandemic, Rosie Ginday MBE supported the Government’s Kickstart Scheme, creating employment opportunities for more than sixty young people, while continuing to grow her enterprise with vision and resilience. Her influence extends across sectors—from hospitality to construction—urging businesses to bake social value into their foundations, not as an add-on, but as a duty.
Rosie Ginday MBE has become a national voice for inclusive leadership and entrepreneurship, holding positions on the West Midlands Combined Authority’s Leadership Commission and serving as Entrepreneur in Residence at the University of Birmingham’s WE LEAD Centre. Her work has been recognised with awards from NatWest, EY, Everywoman and GQ, and in 2019, Rosie Ginday MBE received her MBE from Prince William at Buckingham Palace, in honour of her services to the community.
Rooted in the West Midlands and driven by values that reach far beyond it, Rosie Ginday MBE continues to lead with generosity, courage, and conviction. In every trainee supported, in every life redirected, her legacy grows—one that proves it’s possible to build a business that is as bold as it is kind, and as ambitious as it is compassionate.
